Three relay wins, two record book performances and a field event title highlighted Monmouth's season-opening efforts at the Fighting Bee Opener hosted Friday afternoon by St. Ambrose.

Midwest Conference track and field coaches predict the status quo for the 2019 indoor season, giving Monmouth's men the nod to repeat as conference champions and voting the Scots' women to finish in the runner-up spot for the fourth consecutive year.

Winners of 19 straight Midwest Conference men's indoor championships and 17 of the last 18 outdoor titles, the Monmouth College track and field program is counting on the growth of 28 newcomers to continue its tradition in 2019.
