The Monmouth College men's and women's track teams hope to keep their string of consecutive Midwest Conference indoor track and field championships alive this weekend.

The Monmouth College track and field team tuned up for next weekend's Midwest Conference Championships with 12 firsts and six personal-bests at Friday's non-scored Illinois College Alumni Classic.

It's a top 25 national ranking this week for the Monmouth College men's track and field team.

The Monmouth College track and field team found their home venue to their liking winning four events and turning in eight lifetime-bests at Saturday's non-scored Fighting Scot Invitational at the Huff Athletic Center.

One lifetime-best was recorded and two others threatened as the Monmouth College men's and women's track teams each placed fifth at the Keck Invitational in Bloomington on Saturday.

The Monmouth College men's track team has moved up the regional rankings after moving into national contention in four events last week.
