The Monmouth College men's and women's track teams turned in three nationally ranked performances and eight lifetime-bests to go with wins in six events at Saturday's Fighting Scots Open where the men took first and the women second.

For students in the Monmouth College Adapted Physical Education class, Thursday was a celebration of Olympic proportions.

The men's track team maintained their No. 4 national team ranking this week as compiled by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

No team scores were kept at Saturday's Dr. Tucker Invitational hosted by Loras, but that didn't stop the Monmouth College men's and women's track and field teams from winning two events and turning in a pair of lifetime-best performances in two others.

A packed house was on hand in Monmouth College's Dahl Chapel and Auditorium on Tuesday night for the first annual Fighting Scot Athletic Awards, otherwise known as the MC ESPYs.

Monmouth College sprinter Ethan Reschke (Geneseo, Ill./Geneseo) turned in the second-fastest time in the nation at last Saturday's meet and earned his second Midwest Conference Performer of the Week this spring.
